Eligibility Requirements
Vivipro Biolabs operates in strict accordance with national regulations and ethical guidelines governing the use of animals in research. Therefore, the supply of laboratory animals is exclusively limited to establishments, institutions, and laboratories that are formally registered with the Committee for the Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CCSEA), Government of India.
Prior to the fulfillment of any animal order, mandatory verification of the requesting institution’s valid CCSEA registration certificate is required. Additionally, proof of project-specific approval from the institution’s Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC) must be provided. These requirements are essential to ensure that all animals supplied by Vivipro Biolabs are utilized solely for legitimate, ethically reviewed, and approved scientific research purposes, reflecting the organization’s commitment to responsible science.
How to Place an Order (Step-by-Step Process)
To facilitate a smooth and efficient ordering process, clients are requested to follow these steps:
- Advance Request: Due to the nature of breeding colony management and preparation requirements, clients are strongly encouraged to submit their requests for animals well in advance of their anticipated need date. This allows adequate time for confirming availability, preparing documentation, and coordinating logistics.
- Complete Indent Form: The official request must be made using the prescribed Indent Form. This form can be downloaded directly from the Vivipro Biolabs website .
- Provide Comprehensive Details: The Indent Form requires the submission of precise details to ensure the correct animals are supplied. Required information includes: Specific Species and Strain needed, Sex, desired Age range, desired Weight range, exact Number of animals required, the approximate date the animals are needed by, full details of the receiving Institute (Name, Address, CCSEA Registration Number), and contact information for transport logistics coordination. Accuracy in providing these details is crucial.
- Proforma Invoice and Payment: Upon receipt and review of the completed Indent Form, Vivipro Biolabs will generate a Proforma Invoice based on the specified requirements. This invoice will be sent to the requesting institution. Payment must be completed online according to the terms specified in the invoice before the animal supply can be scheduled and finalized.
Required Documentation
To comply with regulatory mandates and internal protocols, the following documents must be submitted along with the completed Indent Form when placing an order:
- Official Request Letter: A formal request letter printed on the official letterhead of the purchasing institute or department. This letter must be signed by the Head of the Institute or an authorized signatory.
- CCSEA Registration Certificate: A clear, legible copy of the institute’s current and valid CCSEA registration certificate.
- IAEC Approval Letter: A copy of the valid IAEC approval letter that specifically covers the research project for which the animals are being procured. This approval must be current and relevant to the requested species and number of animals.
Submission of complete and valid documentation is mandatory for order processing.
Transportation
Ensuring the welfare and health status of animals during transit is a critical priority for Vivipro Biolabs. Animals are transported from the facility using specialized, environmentally controlled vehicles. These vehicles are designed to maintain stable conditions (temperature, ventilation) and minimize stress during the journey, thereby preserving the quality of the animals upon arrival at the destination facility.
In accordance with CCSEA guidelines, the responsibility for arranging and bearing the cost of animal transport from the Vivipro Biolabs facility rests with the buyer (requesting institution). Vivipro Biolabs can provide necessary guidance on transport requirements and will coordinate with the buyer’s designated transport provider to ensure a safe and compliant handover process.
